VIA today announced the VIA NAS 7800 board for developers of Thin Server and NAS systems.
The VIA NAS 7800 uses a low heat, power-efficient VIA C7 processor, supports up to 8 S-ATA drives and uses two Gigabit Ethernet ports to connect to the network. The form factor of the board is also quite special, in that it is designed to fit snuggly into a regular drive bay so system designers can install the NAS 7800 in a regular drive bay of a regular chassis, leaving more room for all those hard drives.
Here is short video I made.
