CES is over, and for most people was a giant UMPC love fest with HDTV flirting in the periphery. Aopen had a different story to tell however. I must say thanks to TheEagleCD over on EpiaCenter for his post on Aopen's recent CES announcement as I very nearly missed it. Aopen see a revival or perhaps continued development of the MiniPC market and have plans to commit to the Small Form Factor or SFF PC segment in 2008 with new products and designs in the pipeline. Here's a quote from the The Inquirer on the matter.
"AOpen is refocusing in 2008 on small form factor products (SFF). It had a variety of cases, mounts and mobos to offer just about anything you need, Intel, AMD or Via in a mini box."
Small is a whole lot more beautiful when it's quiet, cool and energy efficient. Think no fans. Think no noise. Think.
