Hi there. Just to update you all on our Naked Pico Challenge, it's been just over a week now and the little EPIA PX5000EG Pico-ITX is still pumping away to its heart's content despite having no cooling apparatus at all.
In fact this guy has impressed us all here in the office with his sheer resilience. Many of our engineering types here in Taipei frowned on us and explained in a lofty voice that cooling is essential to any of today's modern silicon and doubted the Pico's chances of seeing out an hour. Well, that may be true of most processors but not the VIA Eden 1 watt processor. This baby stays cool with or without fins.
For the record, I just want to say a big thank you to all the punters who entered the competition. From Jamaica to the Kuwait, we've had a tremendous response. Cheers.
