The Shape of the Future
Allow me to introduce myself and my humble blog.
My name is Stew. I currently work for VIA Technologies, a leading innovator and developer of silicon based chip solutions and platform solutions based in Taipei, Taiwan. I've lived and worked in Taiwan for 8 years and in that time I've had ample interaction with computers both old and new. Having at one point co-owned a small computer store and built and repaired hundreds of PCs over the years I now find myself involved in all that is new in the mainstream tech world. And I intend to blog about it.
Site Scope
I'm interested in new technologies that are influencing the way we live our lives. Most notably new concepts like Cloud Computing, Client Computing, Miniaturization and advances in Energy Efficiency and Mobile Technology. VIA is the heart of these technological advances, helping to drive a new wave of devices and machines that will help shape the way we live our lives in the coming decades.
