The VIA EPIA P700 is the latest and most flexible Pico-ITX board yet. Based on the same tiny 10 cm x 7.2 cm form factor as previous VIA Pico-ITX offerings, the P700 has an expanded feature set that includes Gigabit LAN, S-ATA II and it's own on-board power adapter. Like all Pico-ITX form factor boards, the P700 was designed for the embedded industry and specifically for applications where you a need an extremely small board that won't get too hot.
Being the smallest full x86 board on the market, the P700 is incredibly dainty without compromising on features. It has just about everything you'd expect on a motherboard four times it size: Audio, LAN, PS/2, USB, DVI and VGA, S-ATA and IDE as well as more embedded orientated features like LPC, SM Bus and GPIO.

What's more, embedded developers can also take advantage of two companion boards. Packaged with the EPIA P700, these companion boards offer easy access to the linear pin headers supporting the board's I/O features, slotting home with ease on either side of the P700. The CMOS battery has also been relocated, making it slimmer than previous boards. That's one dainty Pico. Wonder what would happen if I ripped its heatsink off? Oh, right. That's been done already.
