 Earlier today my colleague Tim Brown took a screwdriver to the VIA OpenBook pre-production sample we have here in the office. Apart from having a close up peek at the innards of the VIA OpenBook, Tim's main interest lies in the modular nature of the VIA OpenBook's connectivity options. Using the latest PCI Express Mini Cards the VIA OpenBook reference design can be fitted with various combinations of HSDPA, EV-DO, WiMAX, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and AGPS modules tailored to the needs and budgets of consumers.
